My work is broadly concerned with landscape, nature and the wilderness, forgotten or lost places. I am drawn to empty, some times bleak settings such as the fragile and fragmented areas between land, sea and the sky.

Essentially my work is based within a natural theme or setting. I seek out areas, which are relatively untouched, virgin territory in an attempt to capture the essence of nature. As a result my work is generally elemental, based on themes such as the water, sea, sky and currently woodland and the forest. The place or setting initially captured leaves you with a sense of unease, feeling that you have entering unknown territory; a foggy seascape that leads to infinity, a vast open featureless landscape or a deep, dark endless forest lit only by shards of light that stream through the trees canopy.
